Among the Formigine company’s flagship products, ample room for Fickert abrasives
Tecno Diamant continues to make its mark on the international scene by carving out larger and larger slices of the market. The company, a world leader in the production and distribution of diamond tools for porcelain tile and natural stone, works side by side with prestigious ceramic companies that choose it daily as their preferred partner in cutting, squaring, chamfering, lapping and profiling operations. A totally made-in-Italy production that relies for distribution and pre- and after-sales service on 6 subsidiaries scattered all over the world and located in 3 continents: Spain, Brazil, Poland, Russia, China and Turkey.
Despite a spirit and vision beyond national borders, the heart of Tecno Diamant is in the Modena Ceramic District. Established in 1995 in Formigine, today the company can also count on a new plant located in Spezzano di Fiorano Modenese (MO). Specifically, it is the R&D and production laboratory for abrasive materials called “Tecno Diamant Lab,” which supports the headquarters in its main productions. A special “workshop” that exports those innovations and cutting-edge technologies typical of the know-how that has characterized Tecno Diamant for more than 30 years, including 100% home-made production, experience and expertise. In fact, a young and close-knit team operates within it, keeping up with the times and standing by the customer’s side to meet any need, being able to rely on the most innovative technologies for Industry 4.0.
Among the main products developed by the Formiginese company at its Spezzano headquarters, playing an important role today is the new line of Fickert abrasives, valuable allies in finishing operations that go to work on slabs and tiles by modifying their surface layers and giving high levels of gloss and shine. This product, presented for the first time during the 2022 edition of Tecna, is an ideal solution in lapping processes on any type of surface also thanks to a particularly high ductility. In fact, Fickerts can make endless finishing variations on each type of processing, adapting to manufacturers’ needs and calibrating the diamond compound from time to time, changing the level of hardness or softness of the rubber and even customizing the arrangement of the blocks. Such versatility is also perfectly suited to large slabs, for which Tecno Diamant-branded Fickert abrasives remain the best solution for a high level of finished product yield.
