Numerous disadvantaged people from the social cooperative provide services for canning products.
Collaboration between different entities as an engine to put virtuous actions into circulation. For Tecno Diamant, a company based in Formigine (MO) and active in the production and distribution of diamond tools for porcelain stoneware and natural stone, as well as an exceptional partner of prestigious ceramic realities all over the world, networking with the outside world is, more than a desire, a real intrinsic necessity of its core business.
With this spirit that has always distinguished it and after having collaborated in recent years with important projects in the area – such as “Play School” and “#sportanchio,” dedicated to motor practice for primary and secondary school students in Formigine – the company has renewed its collaboration contract with the Alecrim Work cooperative to help disadvantaged people in the area. Specifically, this is a relationship between the two entities that has been going on for a number of years now, with the cooperative providing services within Tecno Diamant’s facilities regarding the canning of products.
Alecrim Work was founded almost 30 years ago with the goal of building a professional and quality company that can operate in the market with a policy that pays special attention to disadvantaged and disabled people, valuing everyone’s skills. Among the activities carried out is the contract workshop formula, which is what is offered at Tecno Diamant and consists of giving opportunities for expression to people with greater difficulties, whether motor or cognitive. Currently, the number of people employed by the social cooperative exceeds 230, nearly 70 percent of whom have a disadvantage that does not, however, prevent them from operating at their best by feeling useful to society and making their own contribution in the world of work.
At Tecno Diamant, people from Alecrim Work serve in the company on a daily basis, with professionalism and precision, building a path of dignity, personal growth and greater autonomy with their own hands.
At a difficult time, characterized by difficulties in material procurement, Tecno Diamant, a leading manufacturer of diamond tools, decided to totally absorb the increase in costs without passing them on to the customer. A concrete action also made possible by the foresight of the logistics manager, who in the not-so-suspicious times decided, given the then particularly favorable conditions, to increase stock in the warehouse. Along with cost-cutting, Tecno Diamant’s signature logistics also stands out for reduced management time. Because it is networked, the new 4.0 management system is able, once the order is received, to start the job order automatically, thus initiating production and the necessary documentation.
Formigine-based company in strategic partnership with U.S. retailer
A large facility of about 900 m2 equipped with the most innovative ceramic processing solutions. This is 2IG CORP, a U.S. dealer of Tecno Diamant-branded products, the leading Italian company in the Sassuolo ceramic district that has specialized in the production of diamond tools for stoneware and natural stone for more than 30 years.
Opened in 2019 in Cookeville, Tennessee, 2IG CORP is a sales subsidiary with Tecno Diamant exclusivity that makes spare parts for ceramic companies its core business. Creating a strong partnership in tune with the internalization policy sought by Tecno Diamant, 2IG CORP recently closed a distribution contract with Maincer, another major European manufacturer of cutting and bullnose machinery. This is a strategic agreement that will further fuel the overseas business and worldwide distribution of the Formigine (MO) company’s products, which has been a key player in steady growth in recent years.
All of Tecno Diamant’s made-in-Italy innovation and craftsmanship thus flows through a network of partner companies, reaching all the way to the end customer who can sift through a multitude of products. These include diamond, resinoid, and Fickert abrasive tools created for use in the processes of cutting, squaring, lapping, beveling, and profiling surfaces of porcelain tile, natural stone, and other materials.
Just on U.S. soil, the latest market data show that the products with the greatest appeal turn out to be squaring tools, followed next by lapping tools (with a sharp increase in demand expected by 2023) and parts tools. The purchase of ceramic solutions takes place mainly in the southern United States, which is still the most flourishing scenario, given the presence of the most important American ceramic companies there.
In addition to 2IG CORP, Tecno Diamant then relied on multiple subsidiaries scattered around the world to expand its business. Open in strategic countries such as Spain, Poland, Turkey, Russia, China and Brazil, these outposts guarantee customers the production quality of the parent company, significantly facilitating service, spare parts and customer care services.
Formigine company at trade show with reseller partner 2IG CORP
All is set for Tecno Diamant ‘s participation in Coverings 2023, North America’s largest international trade show dedicated to ceramic surfaces and natural stone that will enliven theOrange County Convention Center in Orlando April 18-21.
A key event that will see the Formigine (MO)-based company, which has specialized for more than three decades in the production of diamond tools for stoneware and natural stone, participate together with 2IG CORP, its dealer partner in the U.S. territory, at Booth 3676 in the main hall. For Tecno Diamant, Coverings represents a valuable opportunity and a valuable showcase to showcase overseas the quality of made in Italy and its professionalism: the fair features around 1,000 exhibitors from more than 35 countries and attracts more than 20,000 visitors each year including distributors, architects, builders, journalists and industry experts.
Among the flagship products to be presented at the fair to the American public, Tecno Diamant will bring its Diamond tools, resinoids and the new line of Fickert abrasives, an ally in finishing operations that can act on slabs and tiles by modifying their surface layers and giving very high levels of gloss and shine. Created for use in cutting, squaring, lapping, chamfering and surface profiling processes, Fickerts are an attractive product for the American continent, which, as the latest market data show, reserves a great deal of interest in squaring, lapping and reciprocating technologies.
An opportunity, in short, to make yourself known and expand your business alongside a strategic dealer such as 2IG CORP, a sales subsidiary with exclusive Tecno Diamant based in Tennessee. In addition to this, for years now the Formiginese company can then rely on multiple strategic branches opened and located in different countries around the world, such as Spain, Poland, Turkey, Russia, China and Brazil. A way to guarantee customers the production quality of the parent company while facilitating service, spare parts and customer care services.
